Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake – Winter Spyshots
Posted by: | CommentsHere are the latest spyshots of the upcoming CLS Shootingbrake which will be inveiled at this years Geneva Motorshow.
Powering the Mercedes CLS will be a combination of both Diesel and Petrol engines same as the official CLS, the BlueEfficiency models will have impressive MPG and emissions.
The rangetopping AMG variant will be housing a 5.5 litre V8 Biturbo with around 525 Horsepower and mated to a variant of the AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed, and is touted to be around 28 miles per gallon.
Spy photos Mercedes G55 AMG and G65 AMG
Posted by: | CommentsHere we have the latest spy photos of the Mercedes G AMG Family testing in northern Sweden from the sound of the exhaust one is the G55 AMG and the other is a G65 AMG.
The G55 AMG is currently the most uneconomical Mercedes in the fleet with an oil baron busting 9mpg with its turbo charged 5.4 litre V8, we expect the replacement to be powered by the same unit.
We expect the G65 AMG to run a limited number of around 300 units and will sport a 6.0 litre V12 rumoured to be detuned for around 630hp with a whopping 1000Nm of torque and probably fuel economy to match.
After closer inspection we see that the G55 will have a single integrated intercooler in the bumper to aid lower intake temperatures.
And the G65 will have 2 side mounted integrated intercoolers to aid the additional heat from the bigger power unit.
Detailing changes will include face lifted bumpers with daytime running lights and larger brake callipers.
Interior will be the largest change with a new instrument cluster and the latest sat navigation system.
We expect to see the debut of the G55 – G65 at the 2012 Detroit Motorshow and perhaps might slip to Geneva in March.
Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series laps the ‘Ring in 7:46
Posted by: | CommentsSome Mercedes Benz blogs on the internet are reporting that the C63 AMG Black Series, has lapped the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7:46 at the hands of the infamous SportAuto test drivers in Germany.
The C63 AMG Black Series has shaved two seconds off the BMW M3 GTS respectable time off 7:48.
We expect some news from Mercedes Via SportAuto in the next few Days and hopefully a video to back up the rumour.
Mercedes Benz S Class Prototype Spyshot’s
Posted by: | CommentsAfter stiff competition from BMW and Audi Mercedes are revamping their S Class for 2013.
These spy shots have revealed a slightly longer wheelbase along with a longer low slung profile.
Fashion says that it will house an all new LED daytime running lights and indicators.
We expect the nose will follow the SLS styling cues on this model with a broader snout.
As far as power unit we expect the following:- twin turbo 4.6L V8 producing 430 HP, a twin turbo 5.5L V12 delivering 520 HP, and an AMG twin turbo 5.5L V8 getting between 550 HP and 600 HP.
Mercedes’ Head of Research and Development, Dr. Thomas Weber, has previously revealed that the new S-Class will also feature a plug-in variant model based on the 2010 Vision S500 Plug-In Hybrid Concept capable of 70MPG!

Mercedes CLC – C117 Coupe Spyshots
Posted by: | CommentsToday we managed to snap some photos of the baby CLS, the new CLC. Codenamed C117, this little 4-door Coupe is based on a longer version from the platform made for the new A- and B-Class.
This platform will make it possible to offer both front- and all-wheel-drive versions, and with rumors of a high power AMG version it might be good with all-wheel-drive to be sure to get the power down.
Other engine options will be a petrol engine in two versions, delivering some 121 and 154 horsepower.
Diesel friends will be able to choose between a new 1.8 liter engine delivering two stages of power, 107 or 134 horsepower.
In all cases it will be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual.
We expect the CLC to hit a show room close to you in 2013 and perhaps a teaser or two at the Frankfurt IAA.
2012 Mercedes SL Roof Down Spyshots
Posted by: | CommentsWith summer fast approaching, Mercedes has decided to test the 2012 SL with the Roof down for the first time!
The prototype reveals the SL’s classic proportions and folding-metal roof. The front features a long bonnet highlighting the SLS-inspired grille.
Under the hood, engine options will include a 3.5-liter V6 with 300 hp and 368 Nm of torque as well as an twin-turbo 4.6-liter V8 that develops 429 hp and around 700 Nm of torque. The SL63 AMG is rumoured to use the twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 that produces 544 PS (400 kW / 536 hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque which in theory will leave the 2012 BMW M5 wanting more power.
All we can say is with the AMG C Coupe Black Series in development is, Way to go Mercedes!
2012.Mercedes ML Spyshots
Posted by: | CommentsThe next-generation Mercedes ML-Class is at the latter stages of its test cycle, and as latest spy photos show it has lost most of its Camouflage with just some of the front detailing light clusters are hidden.
We can get a good look at the rear side glazing and all the complete side profile.
Under the bonnet, the ML is expected to get Mercedes’ latest engines which, coupled to a loss in weight, should clean up the big off-roader’s act. Engine options are expected to include a 302bhp 3.5-litre V6, a 429bhp 4.6-litre V8, and a 262bhp 3.0-litre diesel. An AMG version arrives in 2012, powered by the new 5.5-litre twin turbo V8.
Now that the prototypes have lost most of the camouflage, we expect official details to follow.
Prototype Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Black Series Out In The Wild
Posted by: | CommentsToday we can give you the very first photos of the first prototype Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe in the hotter Black Series version.
We previously fetched you a mule of this car in development in sedan form and now it is prowling close to the Nurburgring wearing its final form.
This one has wider fenders both front and rear, with what looks like covered up air vents on the front and rear fenders.
It also has a more massive looking front bumper and a agressive looking rear bumper.
The power is expected to raise to some 530hp and the Black Series version is also expected to loose some weight due to clever use of carbon fiber and light weight ceramic braking system.
