Now, owners of this 625hp British supercar looking for an even more individual twist, can order the attractive GEMBALLA GT package for the 12C Spider, which makes its world debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Highlights of the GEMBALLA GT Spider are its carbon-fibre Aero Kit, interior re-trim in the finest leathers, and the brand new GForged-one lightweight alloy wheels.

A pioneer of personalisation for Porsche cars, GEMBALLA now offers a comprehensive programme for the McLaren family, too. The symbiosis that brings these three great marques together is elegant design, high-performance and the use of lightweight material technologies.

Thus, GEMBALLA’s German designed and manufactured aerodynamic components eschew even the industry-standard use of PU RIM or GRP, making the leap to carbon-fibre for the ultimate in strength and lightness. GEMBALLA’s aero package consists of a new front bumper/spoiler, side skirts and rear valence, which perfectly line up with the OE bodywork using the factory mounting points.

i jm47p9Q M McLAREN P1 AIMS FOR POLE POSITION WITH GLOBAL DEBUT IN PARIS mclaren models
McLaren Automotive have revealed in Paris its next generation ultimate supercar – the McLaren P1 – which takes much of its technological and spiritual inspiration from the company’s Racing division. The McLaren P1 has one simple goal: to be the best driver’s car in the world on road and track and to follow on from the cult McLaren F1.

Designed from the outset to gain aerodynamic superiority and spent many hours in a wind tunnel and using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) aerodynamic modelling – just like a Formula One car, something McLaren are market leaders in.

The McLaren P1 has gained higher levels of downforce than any current road car – 600kg is achieved well below maximum speed. That is approximately five times as much downforce as a McLaren 12C. Its margin over most other high performance supercars is even greater. The McLaren P1’s downforce is similar to current sports racing cars, including the 12C GT3 racer. This is achieved by a large adjustable ‘active’ rear wing adjusts automatically to boost downforce and optimise aerodynamics along with the teardrop cabin shape also means that a lot of the air travels along the cabin to the rear wing .

McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the division of McLaren Automotive responsible for the delivery of bespoke projects, will present a breathtaking one-off supercar at The Quail, an exclusive event on August 17, 2012 that is a highlight of the Pebble Beach weekend in Monterey, USA.

Called the McLaren X-1 and based structurally on the company’s groundbreaking carbon MonoCell but with a totally unique body, it has been created for an anonymous car enthusiast.

X-1: the brief

It’s not every day that a team gets to create something unique in a project that would take the supercar, even by McLaren standards, to a different level.  The challenge began with a special brief.

‘One of our clients who already owned a McLaren F1, a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and now a 12C, wanted a unique car, says MSO Programme Director, Paul MacKenzie.
The conversation began with our Executive Chairman Ron Dennis almost three years ago before the 12C was even launched. The client wanted a machine that had all the capability of the 12C but wrapped in a unique body that reflected his needs and personality.’
