2012 Mercedes A Class out in the Cold (Spy Video)
Posted by: | CommentsHere are the latest pictures of the upcoming 2012 Mercedes A Class sporting less camouflage than the previous spyshots.
The two cars are undergoing rigourous winter testing in northern Sweden which is reaching the end of its test cycle as its spent a lot of time on the Nurburgring in Germany and was first spotted in 2009.
The car is allready in production prototype from and hints at the final shape which is close to the A Class concept shown in Shanghai in april last year albeit more doors.
Powering the unit is a multitude of petrols ranging from 109 hp to the flagship petrol sporting a 210 hp turbocharged four cylinder along with a similar output diesel range.
Also a AMG variant is in development and expected in middle of 2013 with the above model arriving at the Geneva Autoshow in march.
Audi RS4 Avant – To be Shown Geneva
Posted by: | CommentsAfter numerous reports that there will be no uplift to the B7 RS4 we have got information hinting that the RS4 will be unveiled at the 83rd Geneva Motorshow.
The mysterious email stated that it could be a production concept or even in its final production form.
We spied the car first at the nurburgring wearing heavy camouflage, but from the looks this was a production ready prototype.
The email didnt state any more information apart from clearing up the rumours circling the internet that it has been cancelled.
We dont expect a saloon variant as Audi wants the RS5 to fill this segment.
Let’s see what happens at the Geneva Show in March.
2012 Volvo V40 Spyshots – Winter Testing
Posted by: | CommentsLast week Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby announced that the new v30 range would be called the v40.
And as regular as clockwork our spies have spotted the V40 undergoing winter testing in northern sweden.
Not just will the V40 be a brand new model, but it will also replace two existing models.
When the V40 arrives in 2012 the current S40 and V50 will be discontinued in Volvo line-up.
During an interview on friday Stefan Jacoby got the question if the V40 will replace the C30 as well but just answered that the C30 is a 3 door car and the new one will have more than 3 doors. So we have to wait and see what happens to the C30 in the future.
The v40 is targeted against the Audi A3 Sportsback and BMW new 1 series which is a hint at the aspirations at Volvo.
From the limited view of the car we guess that it will look a lot like a smaller version of the V60.
We expect the same engines to be carried on with a choice of 4 diesels from 115hp to 215hp, and soon to be followed by a range of petrols from 180hp to a range topping 320hp option along with AWD.
The new V40 will have its public debut in March at the Geneva Car Show.
Koenigsegg Agera R – Geneva 2011
Posted by: | CommentsThe guys over at Autogespot have got the first shots of the Koenigsegg Agera R.
The Agera R runs on biofuel and is the most powerful that the car maker Koenigsegg has ever built. The five-liter V8 engine generates 1115 horsepower and, thanks to extremely light weight of 1330 pounds, this is a car that is very hard.
There is no details of the performance of the car but expect a 0-60 of sub 3 seconds and a max speed of around 225mph.
Is there going to be any surprises left at Geneva with all the leaks???

Mini Rocketman Concept – Himmelstürmer ?
Posted by: | CommentsWe all know the new MINI isn’t very mini, and newer products like the MINI Countryman have pushed the boundaries in terms of size, but here’s an exciting concept bound for Geneva – one that’s actually mini. Curiously named the Rocketman and no relation to world war 2′s German Himmelstürmer Division, MINI’s latest idea is to get back to the classic Mini in terms of its dimensions.
Weighing in at 3.419 metres long, the Rocketman Concept not much longer than the much loved 3.05 m 1959 original. It’s much wider however at 1,907 mm including the exterior mirrors, and stands 1,398 mm tall.
Wide-opening doors with double-hinge joints that pivot outwards and integrated sills facilitate entry. The split two-part tailgate consists of one section which is attached to the roof and opens very high and a lower section which extends out 350 mm from the body in the form of a drawer.
Design wise, the Rocketman’s curves are entirely familiar; even the round headlamps are the same size as the MINI hatch, making them stand out even more on a smaller body. A new feature is the light ring inside the headlamp, and most impressively a panoramic roof with the Union Jack etched on the roof and lights enhance the etching making it standing out.
So another year and another concept last year we had the Coupe (Speedster) which is currently in production prototype form.
Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Scan image leaked
Posted by: | CommentsAs we was just about finishing another generic teaser set of images from Lamborghini Showing the Rolling Chassis attached to the Carbon Fibre Passenger Cell.
But it looks like the Italian press leak shows what we really want to see showing a top front view of the LP-700.
One thing surprises us over this leak is that the prototype camouflage hinted at the angular slatted engine cover, only this picture shows the usual aggressive styling is gone and replaced with more of a refined design.
Are we going to get the side views before Geneva time will tell….
Lamborghini Aventador – Video Revealing under the Camo
Posted by: | CommentsLamborghini are not satisfied in pulling the shroud off the Aventador LP700-4 at the Geneva Motor Show, now there has been a video release/leak from the Italian bull-works driving in the winter landscape in Sweden.
With a curb weight of just 1575 kg (3,472 pounds), that’s all good for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 2.9 seconds, as we had previously reported. Top speed is 350 km/h (217 mph).
The engine is coupled to a 7-speed independent shift rod transmission with shift times of just 50 milliseconds. The model also features a Haldex all-wheel drive system.
Expect another video or two before the Geneva Motorshow in two weeks time.
Infiniti Concept the ETHEREA Official Pics.
Posted by: | CommentsInfiniti today releases the first images of its concept car for the Geneva Motor Show in March. Called the ETHEREA, it is a compact luxury model that previews how a future entry-level Infiniti could look.
The pictures show an evolving Infiniti identity along with a profile distinctly different from anything currently available in the premium compact class.
“ETHEREA is about a new type of luxury for younger buyers,” said Toru Saito, Corporate Vice President and Leader of the Global Infiniti Business Unit. “It is not just a smaller version of a typically conservative and traditional luxury car.”
Designed under the direction of Senior Vice President of Design Shiro Nakamura, ETHEREA blends elements of coupé, sedan, hatchback and even crossover in one highly sculptural, near-mono volume form.
At 4.4m it is highly compact but at the same time it is space efficient and practical thanks to a new mechanical layout and innovative access arrangements.
Among its surprises are high-tech new interpretations of traditional Japanese materials and finishes, and several design cues set to make their mark on future production models – including the highly distinctive crescent-shaped C-pillar first seen on the Essence concept.
