Here are the very first pictures of the 2 Series Cabriolet which is due to a re branding of the 1 series Coupe, this follows on from the 3 series coupe being dubbed the 4 series.

The new BMW 2-Series will deliver dynamic handling, but will share its engine power units with the 1-Series.

This will be powered by a 1.6-liter Twin Power turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit delivering around 180 HP and a revised 2.0 liter engine with an output of about 186 HP.

BMW 3 Series GT – Spied in Light Camo

Here are the latest spyshots of the upcoming 3 series GT which is sporting less camouflage than previous spied prototypes.

BMW hasn’t announced whether the 3-Series GT will be sold in the U.S., and given the poor sales performance of the 5-Series GT its chances are slim.

The vehicle itself rides on the same platform underpinning the 3-Series sedan and is powered by the same series of engines.

The prototype seen here is showing its slimmer curves than the ridiculed 5-Series GT.

We are expecting the car to be revealed at the 2012 Paris Autoshow in France, As a Production Concept and likely to be unveiled later on in 2013.

Jaguar’s F-Type R Spyshots

Here are the latest spyshots of not one but two different specifications of the rumoured Jaguar’s F-Type R which can be distinguished by the quad exhaust layout compared with the center mounted twin pipes on the lesser powered model.

Also spotted was one of the earlier mules of the F-Type which can be identified by the enlarged wheel arches.

Jaguar have confirmed the roadster will be available with a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine in two different power outputs one with 380HP with 460Nm and 340HP with 450Nm.

This car seems to be housing something slightly more powerfull from its V8 ForceFed Growl so rumour is a foot that this car could be housing the “R” family engine the supercharged 5.0-liter V8.

Porsche 911 GT3 Spyshots – Winter Testing

After all the spy shots of the Porsche new 911 series its good to see they haven’t forgot about the track bred GT3.

On these photos we can see the GT3 typical front bumper and the GT3 centered twin exhaust pipes.

This car didnt have the Spoiler fitted this is probably due to them wanting you to think its a turbo (Side Inlets are Stickers!).

Power is expected to be around 450 horsepower and rumoured to have a PDK box only even though a manual has been spotted.

2014 Mercedes Benz C Class Spyshots

The 2014 Mercedes C-Class (internally called BR205) has been spotted during its first winter testing and we can show you the clearest photos yet.

As we can see, the prototype is wearing heavy camouflage which makes it really hard to see any lines of the new design but at least the roof line is clearly visible. If we try to look beyond the camouflage at the front we expect there will be some influences taken from the F800 Concept Car shown in Geneva 2 years ago with a more marked front grille. Since the C-Class is the most important car for Mercedes they will not experiment too much with the design, but it still needs to look dynamic and sporty to give both the Audi A4 and the 3-Series from BMW a match.

The new C-Class will not only be offered with various petrol and diesel engines but there will also be a hybrid variant for the first time.

First out in 2014 is the sedan, followed by the wagon six months later. About one year after that we will see a coupe and convertible version as well.

And this time the C-Class will be produced in the US as well, the Alabama plant will build the C-Class alongside the GL and M-Class.

The BMW f10 prototype at the nurburgring has had another change of suit showing the Chrome door handles, also there seems to be some hidden detailing seen for the first time hidden under rear quarter wing.

It’s not a shock to learn that BMW plans to attempt to bring its M5 car to RS6-levels of power when the new M5 is revealed in 2011. That means that power needs to exceed the current model’s 501 hp, so BMW have been heavily modifying the X-Series 4.4 litre to bring power up to around 550 hp, or more.

This will be supplied to the rear wheels via the new seven-speed M DCT dual-clutch ‘box and probably a manual varient in 2012.

But it’s not all about pavement-pummeling power. The use of the twin-turbochargers and DI is as much an attempt to reduce emissions as it is to boost output, and BMW is intent on making the next 5-series, due out in 2010, one of its most fuel-efficient vehicles. That means that start-stop technology will be used on the engine (AKA Efficient Dynamics), to improve fuel economy and life on the Starter Motor.
