Cadillac ATS Detroit 2012 Revealed
Posted by: | CommentsCadillac have eventually unveiled the latest family member the ATS which is set to battle the 3-Series BMW and Mercedes C-Class.
The exterior is very much like its CTS father with the usual array of led clustered headlights and a cheeky designed integrated boot spoiler.
The agressive front has active vent grills which close at motorway speed to improve vehicle aerodynamics and to lower drag and in turn fuel economy.
The cabin’s infotainment system which offers a wealth of connectivity features including a touch sensitive display along with USB/Bluetooth/SDHC for all your connected devices. To compliment the impressive the digital instrument cluster includes an optional GPS navigation.
Powering the new Caddy will be the usual Sporty GM offerings:-
The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 270 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque
The 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 200 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque
The 3.6-liter V6 with 318 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque
These will be paired up to a six speed manual or an automatic and for the arctics AWD will be an additional option.
Handling will be taken control by the addition of magnetic dampers and an impressive kerb weight of under 1600kg.

Cadillac ATS Spyshots Less Camo
Posted by: | CommentsHere are the first spyshots of the 2013 Cadillac ATS during testing at its Nurburgring handling center. From the look, the 2013 Cadillac ATS sedan prototype seems almost ready for production by the mule less looks.
The car shares some of its styling cues from its CTS older brother.
No news from the power unit of this car but we expect it t be around the 250hp with a rumoured V with around 380hp.
Cadillac unveiled the 2011 CTS Coupe at the Geneva Motor Show
Posted by: | CommentsGeneva 2010– Cadillac unveiled the 2011 CTS Coupe at the Geneva Motor Show, the latest and most dramatic of the brand’s series of new designs to reach production.
Slated to arrive in North American Cadillac showrooms in the spring of 2010, the CTS Coupe is a new luxury sports coupe designed to become the centerpiece of the brand’s revised lineup. It will be launched in Europe in fall 2010.
“CTS Coupe is the new focal point of Cadillac, expressing both our design and technical capabilities,” said Bryan Nesbitt, Cadillac general manager. “It is intended to appeal to a new generation of car enthusiasts.”
The Coupe joins the CTS Sport Sedan, the 564 horsepower (415 kW) CTS-V and new CTS Sport Wagon as the foundation of Cadillac’s lineup. A high-performance V-Series edition of the Coupe will also be released in 2010. The CTS Coupe’s design carries over virtually unchanged from the concept car that was introduced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in 2008.
The Coupe is a classic 2+2 layout bolstered with advanced technology, such as a rear-view camera system and a performance-oriented suspension system coupled to rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Supercharged CTS-V launches into the UK
Posted by: | CommentsThe Media moguls at GM have been busy promoting the new CTS-V.
Cadillac revealed the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe at the Detroit Auto show. Along with a rather fitting fire and brimstone in a artic environment.
This car has a 6.2 liter v8 delivering a massive 564ps and a frightening amount of torque 747nm courtosy of the Eaton Supercharger.
This Propels the 0-60 time of approximately 3.9 seconds and carries on all the way to a whopping 191mph.
Also thankfully the Chassis and the suspension has been thouroughly roadtested in the Eifel Valley’s Nürburgring and holds the Production Saloon record of 7:59 in October 2008.
I look forward to seeing these on the Nordschleife in 2010 priced from £56,495 on-the-road and an extra £2000 for the Automatic gearbox.
