Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series laps the ‘Ring in 7:46
Posted by: | CommentsSome Mercedes Benz blogs on the internet are reporting that the C63 AMG Black Series, has lapped the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7:46 at the hands of the infamous SportAuto test drivers in Germany.
The C63 AMG Black Series has shaved two seconds off the BMW M3 GTS respectable time off 7:48.
We expect some news from Mercedes Via SportAuto in the next few Days and hopefully a video to back up the rumour.
Mercedes AMG Powered ML63 Official Video Revealed
Posted by: | CommentsMercedes-Benz have revealed the 2012 AMG powered ML63, Ahead of its official unveiling at the Los Angeles motorshow on wednesday.
The Power unit will come in two flavours the standard will be powered by a 5.5 liter v8 twin turbo with an output of 518hp (386 kW / 525 PS) and 516 lb-ft with 699 Newton’s of Torque.
Customers which want more options can request the AMG performance pack which boosts the v8 to 550hp and 758 Nm of torque.
Top speed on the standard will be a limited 155mph and those opting for the latter will be thundering all the way to 174mph, While the green party will be happy that they have included a torque convertor to help boost fuel economy.
So if your in a market for a fuel economic thunderstorm welcome to the 2012 AMG ML63.

Mercedes Benz SL Spyshots
Posted by: | CommentsHere are the latest pictures of the replacement to the current SL which has been on the same chassis since 2002.
The car is going to be boasting such technologies such as the Magic Ride Control where the suspension is modified from camera feedback of the road conditions.
Also an active roll bar set up to stiffen chassis bias under hard cornering.
The Power unit for the SL range will be a varient 3.5-litre V6 that produces 304bhp and will dash to 60mph in around 6 seconds.
There is also likely a twin-turbocharged 4.7-litre V8 in the SL500 which will produce around 404bhp and dies the 0-60 dash in around 5 seconds.
The SL63 AMG model will be powered by a 520bhp 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 and will probably be propelled to 60 in 4.5 seconds.
Mercedes Benz S Class Prototype Spyshot’s
Posted by: | CommentsAfter stiff competition from BMW and Audi Mercedes are revamping their S Class for 2013.
These spy shots have revealed a slightly longer wheelbase along with a longer low slung profile.
Fashion says that it will house an all new LED daytime running lights and indicators.
We expect the nose will follow the SLS styling cues on this model with a broader snout.
As far as power unit we expect the following:- twin turbo 4.6L V8 producing 430 HP, a twin turbo 5.5L V12 delivering 520 HP, and an AMG twin turbo 5.5L V8 getting between 550 HP and 600 HP.
Mercedes’ Head of Research and Development, Dr. Thomas Weber, has previously revealed that the new S-Class will also feature a plug-in variant model based on the 2010 Vision S500 Plug-In Hybrid Concept capable of 70MPG!
We Expect to see the revealed car possibly 2nd quarter 2012

Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series Track Package & Aero Package

The recently unveiled Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series Coupe revealed at Frankfurt and here are some spy shots of the Black Series Sporting the AMG Track Package and AMG Aero package.
The AMG Track Package includes exclusively developed tires, size 255/35 R 19 for the front and 285/30 R 19, active rear-axle transmission cooling, and a radiator located in the rear apron that allows the airflow to pass through it effectively.
The Aero dynamics package includes the front carbon fiber splitters and are located on the front bumper.
This package also includes a functionally tuned front splitter made of genuine carbon fiber and a fixed carbon-fiber rear Spoiler with an adjustable blade.
Both components not only increase the lift at the front and rear axle, they also aid the vehicle’s dynamic balance.
Powered by the 6.3 liter V8 engine throwing out 510 HP and torque of 457 ft-lbs, allowing the vehicle a 0 to 100 kph sprint time of around 4.2 seconds. Click Picture For Gallery

Mercedes CLC – C117 Coupe Spyshots
Posted by: | CommentsToday we managed to snap some photos of the baby CLS, the new CLC. Codenamed C117, this little 4-door Coupe is based on a longer version from the platform made for the new A- and B-Class.
This platform will make it possible to offer both front- and all-wheel-drive versions, and with rumors of a high power AMG version it might be good with all-wheel-drive to be sure to get the power down.
Other engine options will be a petrol engine in two versions, delivering some 121 and 154 horsepower.
Diesel friends will be able to choose between a new 1.8 liter engine delivering two stages of power, 107 or 134 horsepower.
In all cases it will be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual.
We expect the CLC to hit a show room close to you in 2013 and perhaps a teaser or two at the Frankfurt IAA.

After numerous sightings and the Pistonspy Exclusives, Mercedes at Affalterbach have officially released photos.
The new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series embodies the new AMG brand claim, Driving Performance, like no other AMG model. The new high-performance vehicle is the most powerful C-Class of all time, boasting a maximum output of 380 kW (517 hp) and a maximum torque of 620 newton metres. The AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine impresses with its hefty torque, tremendous pulling power and responsiveness, and ensures high-calibre performance: the C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.
It doesn’t matter from which angle you’re looking at it: the new C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series displays its ties with motorsport from every perspective. The arrow-shaped front section with the central Mercedes star in the radiator grille is the visual synonym for its unfettered forwards thrust. The air intakes in the striking front apron ensure reliable air flow through the large cooling modules. Two openings in the aluminium bonnet support the expelling of engine heat, whilst the struts positioned at an angle in the front apron emphasise the vehicle’s width. The black front splitter located at the lower end helps to balance the vehicle aerodynamically at speed.
The tail end of the Black Series coupé is also a feast for the eyes: the new rear apron with its expressive black diffuser insert creates a broad effect. Just like on the SLS AMG GT3, it protrudes beyond the profile of the rear apron. The black grille on the upper end of the diffuser insert is an eye-catching feature, as is the AMG sports exhaust system: both of the chromed twin tailpipes integrated into the rear apron have an angular cross-section. The spoiler lip on the boot lid is painted in the vehicle colour and reduces lift at the rear axle, resulting in more driving stability at high speeds. The AMG logo with its discreet “Black Series” lettering is reserved exclusively for the C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series.
The C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series is celebrating its world premiere during the Formula 1 race on the Nürburgring, the German Grand Prix (23 – 24 July 2011). The market launch will follow in January 2012, and its sales price is 115,430 euros (incl. 19% VAT).
SLS AMG Roadster – Officially released

The SLS AMG Roadster has just been unveiled and although it has lost the gullwings, the convertible continues to feature the same purist design of the SLS AMG, after we spotted it undergoing cold winter testing in Sweden along with its usual test ground stomping aroun the Nordschleife.
The SLS AMG Roadster include an aluminium spaceframe body, an AMG 6.3-litre V8 front-mid engine with dry sump lubrication developing a peak output of 571hp and 650 newton metres of torque, a seven-speed dual clutch transmission in a transaxle arrangement and a sports suspension with aluminium double wishbones.
The hardtop has been substituted by a compact fabric soft top which Roadster opens and closes in just eleven seconds, and can be operated while drving at speeds up to 50 km/h.
The SLS AMG Roadster features some design reminiscences from the 300 SL Roadster, the classic dream-car from the 1950s, including the wide radiator grille with its large Mercedes star and the wing-shaped cross-fin, and also the fins on the bonnet and on the vehicle flanks.
While developing the SLS AMG Roadster, Mercedes focused to hand driving pleasure to its customers as well as outstanding performance. To do so the open top vehicle features an innovative body design with the chassis and body being made of aluminium. Thanks to it the SLS AMG Roadster is only 40 kilograms heavier than the Coupé.
Powering the SLS AMG Roadster is the same engine featured on the gullwing model: the 6.3-litre V8 with a peak output of 571hp at 6800 rpm. The engine makes the open-top SLS one of the most powerful sports cars in its segment and thanks to it the SLS AMG Roadster is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and to reach a top speed of 317km/h (electronically limited).
Besides offering the performance the SLS AMG Roadster delivers very ambitious fuel consumption for a model of this category. It consumes 13.2 litres per 100 kilometres, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 308 grams per kilometre.
The production of the SLS AMG Roadster will take place at Mercedez-Benz production plant in Sindelfingen. As for the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine, it will come directly from the AMG engine workshop in Affalterbach, where it is hand-assembled according to the traditional “One man, one engine” philosophy.
The market lanch of the SLS AMG Roadster will take place in autumn 2011, with a selling price of € 195,160.
